As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will respond to calls for assistance, communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, and document observations using site systems. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and requests for assistance from clinical and administrative staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hallways, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access issues.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, provide directions, assist with visitor management, and support staff with non-clinical escorts when requested.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or law enforcement as required by policy.
