Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies, and completing required documentation.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor facility activity for unusual conditions, assist with visitor directions and wayfinding, and support staff with non-clinical security-related requests within the scope of the post.
  • Prepare clear written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates during shift turnover and/or with site leadership as needed.
