About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• Have 6+ months of security experience.
• Be comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors according to site procedures.
• Complete security-related reports and shift logs, document unusual activity, and report maintenance concerns such as damaged doors, gates, fencing, or lighting.
