As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with clear communication and customer-focused service. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with sign-in procedures as directed, and help to maintain authorized entry and exit.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate significant activity to the next shift, and assist with property rules enforcement as directed by site policy.
