As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients while providing customer service with professionalism and empathy. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and interior corridors, assist with visitor direction and/or check-in expectations as assigned, and help to control access to restricted areas according to site policy.
  • Document observations and incidents in reports, maintain logs, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
