Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Rounds in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to calls for service, and deliver clear, professional customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior spaces, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the site, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization in accordance with post orders, and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and information.
