As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly while delivering customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas by observing activity, assisting with visitor check-in and/or identification verification as directed, and supporting crowd management during campus events.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information during shift transitions, and participate in required training and/or briefings.
