About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Services Desk in Westlake, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer in a financial institutions location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will greet employees and visitors, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services environment.
  • Control access points by checking identification, logging arrivals and departures, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and/or directing visitors to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of site contacts, and documentation of actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, office areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, report unusual activity, and complete required reports such as incident reports and shift logs.
