Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Trenton, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document activity using a computer or tablet and respond to requests as needed. Requirements

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess a state, county, and/or city issued security license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring visitor flow, verifying authorization when required, and directing people to appropriate departments while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
