As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or concerning behavior.
  • Monitor access points, corridors, and common areas, assisting with visitor direction, badge and/or credential checks as required by site policy.
  • Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
