About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor flow. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer-focused service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, common areas, loading and delivery areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and manage visitor check-in and/or badge processes in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe and report unusual activity via camera systems, alarms, and/or routine rounds; complete accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts, and/or contacting public resources as directed.
