About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access points, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to onsite staff, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and conduct identity verification, visitor registration, and badge control in support of a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior spaces and the exterior perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
• Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, and maintain awareness of key systems such as CCTV, alarms, and/or access control to support security-related operations.
