About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial office location, you will complete routine rounds, operate from a patrol vehicle, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, assist tenants and visitors with a customer-first approach, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, building policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office common areas, lobbies, stairwells, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access issues.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, check doors and gates for proper closure, and/or verify visitor credentials and contractor authorization per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and/or local public services when needed.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate notable activity to site contacts during shift transitions.
