Security Officer - Unarmed Medical Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Medical Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, document observations, and support security-related response to concerns. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access, and report concerns according to site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports and documentation for incidents, patrol observations, and service requests, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
