About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mall Driving Patrol in Baldwin Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for customers and staff. This is a driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with conflict resolution as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the retail environment.
Work closely with store management and/or law enforcement when required to address security-related matters.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any actions taken during shifts.
Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions or assistance to customers and staff as needed.
