As a Security Officer Licensed Driver Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic tech location as an unarmed officer who will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, and support access activities with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Guided by teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation, you will help put people first every day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for employees, visitors, and/or vendors while following site protocols for a high-availability operations environment.
  • Report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and support ongoing site operations through clear observations and timely communication.
