Security Officer - Unarmed Industrial Site Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Industrial Site Patrol in Roebling, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, support access control, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and deliver customer service with a calm, professional approach. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor traffic, verifying identification as directed, and assisting with vehicle and/or pedestrian flow per site procedures.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other site systems as assigned, report hazards and maintenance issues, and complete shift reports and other security-related documentation.
