Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Industrial Patrol Driver in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible, and engage with people to provide excellent customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle while performing your patrol duties. Join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the manufacturing and industrial location.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
Maintain clear and accurate records of observations, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns within the location.
