About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Area Patrol in Stafford, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, assist with visitor management, and report suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized entry attempts per site procedures.
  • Complete timely security-related documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol findings, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
