As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to discourage security-related incidents while supporting staff, patients, and visitors with professional service. You will monitor key areas such as vaccine storage and the morgue, respond to calls for assistance, and follow site procedures that may include helping staff restrain individuals when required. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be willing to work in a hospital environment involving vaccines.
• Be willing to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be willing to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow by observing for unauthorized entry, maintaining log documentation as required, and communicating unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and service requests, and communicate updates via radio and/or phone according to post orders.
