As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, supporting mobile rounds and rapid response across the campus. You will deliver customer service, clear communication, and professional reporting while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture built on integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital morgue work is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Hospital restraining individuals is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site staff, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and verify authorization for entry to restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information to the next shift and site leadership.
