About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as appropriate within a healthcare environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
- Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, as directed by site leadership or emergency personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals at the location.
