As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the site. This is a driving post, so you will utilize a company vehicle to conduct routine patrols. You will also engage with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and communication while embodying the values of Allied Universal: agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activities within the location.
Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting visitors and staff as needed.
Document security-related incidents, observations, and interactions according to site protocols.
Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site contacts regarding incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
Participate in site-specific training and maintain awareness of emergency response protocols relevant to the healthcare environment.
