As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare and logistics locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within healthcare and logistics or distribution locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Support access control procedures, including verifying credentials and assisting visitors, patients, or staff as required for healthcare and logistics or distribution environments.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as necessary to report incidents or request assistance.
  • Complete required reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
  • Adhere to all company and client policies regarding confidentiality and professional conduct while representing Allied Universal.
