Requirements

Valid WA State Unarmed Guard License (DOL activated) - required before hire.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Professional appearance, dependable work ethic, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Nice To Haves

Prior security, law enforcement, or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular foot patrols throughout assigned interior and exterior areas to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Deter unauthorized activity, disruptive behavior, and safety hazards through consistent, high-visibility presence.
Provide supportive customer service to onsite residents and staff, offering assistance and information when needed.
Follow all site-specific post orders, procedures, and Fortified International code of conduct.
Respond promptly to incidents; document events clearly and accurately; and communicate effectively with supervisors, onsite personnel, and law enforcement when required.
Report incidents regularly throughout the shift utilizing professional language and grammar.
Maintain a calm, professional, and approachable demeanor at all times.
Interact with residents in a trauma-informed, non-escalatory manner, showing patience, respect, and sensitivity to individuals who may have experienced significant hardship.
