Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
- Observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activities within the location.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site protocols.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports documenting activities, incidents, and/or observations during patrols.
- Follow all company and site-specific procedures while adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
