As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting using a computer and/or tablet. You will deliver customer service with clear communication while partnering with site teams to respond to concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecom location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, corridors, lobbies, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors; manage visitor sign-in, badge issuance, and delivery directions per site procedures.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, escalate maintenance and/or policy concerns, and support Allied Universal account leadership with follow-up actions as needed.
