Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Evening Patrol in West Hazleton, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to reports with clear communication and customer service. With Allied Universal, you will work as part of a caring, agile team that acts with integrity, using innovative tools to document activity and share updates.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss Prevention is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and visitors; check identification and/or credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, including reporting maintenance concerns and/or hazards observed during patrols.
