Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in a timely manner to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Support campus events and activities by providing a visible security-related presence and assisting with crowd management as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related matters encountered during patrols.
