You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to alarms and access requests, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients in a healthcare location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting staff and visitors during medical or facility emergencies.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and badging as required, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift turnover notes, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
