About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Rounds in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support operations through clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location staff, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the distribution facility, trailer yards, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by shift and area.
  • Monitor access points and traffic flow by checking identification, issuing visitor and/or contractor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas per site requirements.
  • Observe and report security-related concerns such as unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, damaged fencing, open doors, and/or unsecured loading areas, and complete incident and shift reports in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
