Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Rounds in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while remaining highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal teammates. Requirements
- Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to the client and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical emergencies, and request additional assistance when needed.
- Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and report maintenance and/or operational concerns that could impact site operations.
