Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, report observations, and deliver strong customer service and communication with team members and site contacts. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor access points and shipping and receiving areas, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and medical emergencies, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
