As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist employees and visitors with clear, professional service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will document observations and communicate updates using site tools, while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility property, including buildings, yards, gates, parking areas, and perimeter lines, reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorization for entry to restricted areas, supporting key control and/or badge checks per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public responders when needed and completing required notifications.
• Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
