Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Lititz, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Consumer Health Manufacturing Sites, and more. Join Allied Universal at a Consumer Health Manufacturing Site where you will perform unarmed, mobile patrols and remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and provide professional customer service and communication to visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet AU Driver Policy Requirements are required.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, site employees, and/or vendors at a Consumer Health Manufacturing site by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading docks, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access control concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, assist with visitor processing, and/or help coordinate with property management regarding keys, badges, and other access control items.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, providing directions, and promptly notifying property management and/or emergency services when needed.
- Complete routine reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate noteworthy conditions to oncoming personnel and/or site contacts.
