About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Driver Patrol in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support site teams with a customer-first approach, acting with integrity while working through teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Monitor access points and perform visitor and vehicle checks in accordance with site policies, including verifying identification and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site management.
