You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report conditions, help to deter incidents, and assist visitors through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to cover wider areas. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton are preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public park and community recreation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and/or suspicious activity, and notify the appropriate parties as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of park grounds, facilities, restrooms, parking areas, trails, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access to restricted or staff-only areas when assigned, assist with rule compliance during public programs and/or special events, and provide directions and information to patrons.
  • Complete detailed reports of observations, incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts per post orders.
