Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Defense Patrol in Riviera Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, support a secure environment, and communicate with staff and visitors. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and/or sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to report any irregularities.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or emergency responders as required by the situation.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and directing visitors or employees as appropriate for the location.
