About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Unarmed Patrol in Savannah, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents as you conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and interact with employees and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, collaborating with local staff and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying credentials and reporting any suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues observed during patrols, following site-specific protocols.
• Support a secure environment by remaining visible and approachable, providing assistance and information to employees, contractors, and/or visitors as needed.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment, particularly in an aerospace and defense location, and promptly communicate any concerns to the appropriate parties.
