About The Position

As a Security Officer College Patrol in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post instructions, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas during assigned shifts, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns in a timely manner.
• Support access control and visitor-related processes as directed, while maintaining a professional presence and assisting with security-related inquiries.
