As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational setting, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- At least six months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
- Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
- Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor movement within the property.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors to provide information and assistance as needed.
- Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, following site-specific protocols.
