About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Campus Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the campus environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and information as needed.
Work collaboratively with campus personnel and local emergency responders when appropriate.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and logs as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
