About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Campus Patrols in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the campus environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with campus personnel and local emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and logs as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
