Security Officer Unarmed Campus Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Campus Patrol in Aventura, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to support shoppers, tenants, and staff while responding to site needs with professionalism. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and assist with directing guests, deliveries, and/or vendors in accordance with property rules and post instructions.
- Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with management and/or emergency responders, completing required reports, and following local post orders for routine and unusual events.
