Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors and contractors, issuing temporary badges when directed, and directing traffic in accordance with site rules.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other site systems; document routine activity and incidents; and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with area control, and completing clear written reports.
