Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks as needed, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear, respectful communication with shoppers and staff. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail store and surrounding property.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store management and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, property damage, and other unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and potential policy violations, document observations, and complete incident reports and daily activity logs per Allied Universal and location requirements.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by observing customer and associate activity, assisting with access control at doors and receiving areas, and following established procedures for suspected theft and/or disturbances.
