About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Bank Patrols Full-Time in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a financial institution, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to clients and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork in every interaction.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at financial institution locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for financial institution environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist employees, visitors, and/or customers by providing directions, answering questions, and offering assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
