As a Security Officer - Unarmed Auto Patrol Specialist in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, maintenance issues, or hazards encountered during patrols.
- Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or site-specific updates.
- Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with directions and general information as needed within the location.
