About The Position

As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by checking credentials as required, managing visitor entry, and/or directing individuals to the appropriate airport resources.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with airport personnel, and/or contacting law enforcement or emergency services as directed.
• Document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activities in reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and appropriate stakeholders.
