Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to pass a physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to state and/or local licensing requirements prior to employment

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, roadways, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and credential requirements in accordance with location policies, reporting concerns and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Assist with traffic flow, crowd monitoring, and directional support during busy periods, special events, and/or operational disruptions while maintaining a professional presence.
