Job Description As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government aviation location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter zones to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by verifying credentials as directed, observing for unauthorized entry attempts, and reporting concerns through the established chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, medical response coordination, and crowd management as directed by site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and service calls in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
